So, for those of you who are not aware, when I’m not blogging, I work for the Minnesota Zoo as their Sustainable Seafood Coordinator. What that means, is that I try to educate on the value of sustainable seafood and what it means in terms of global conservation efforts. It’s a really cool and unique job that I’ve been extremely privileged to be able to do over the course of the last few years, especially since my job typically has me working with some truly incredible chefs here in the Twin Cities.
Anyway, that brings us to this little talk about the sustainability of shrimp that I did earlier this spring for an event called Ignite. It’s a really cool event that features a variety of local speakers speaking on a variety of topics, but you’re only given 5 minutes and 20 slides to make your case. It was extremely challenging, but all in all, it was a pretty great experience and has actually lead to some other speaking events coming up, but I’ll let you know more about those as they arise.
